- Small community. Lets define small shall we?
- I am not the 80 billionth player to hit 60 as a rogue. I want unconquered quests and lands. I want to be able to feel special.
- Friendly player base. I dont mean that I will be twinked from day one. I mean that if I ask a question people will answer the question even if I dont play a female character.
- People to group/guild/raid with.
- GM run quests. I know this is not plausible for a commercial game with many servers but I wish that someone would come down and mix things up every once in awhile. Maybe the orcs can invade and they can just spawn a bunch of orcs in town. I dont care how stupid or cheesy the quest is as long as its something new and different to do.
- Cool looking armor and weapons. That was one of my biggest problems with EQ2 a lvl 10 character looks the same as a lvl 60 character. Sure the 60's gear is much much better but it still just looks like standard plate mail to me. If I am powerful I want to look powerful too.
- In game quests that are deeper than "Kill 5 of these mobs and I will give you this shiny dagger."
- Story line and back story!
- Friendly and responsive support team who regularly communicates with its player base.
- A BIG world. Many new MMORPGS have quick teleportation systems which allow for instant travel across the world. While this may seem like a good idea it ruins the feel of a sprawling world. I dont care if there is instant transport at high levels but make me walk around and explore for the low levels. Thanks.
- WASD Movement. Click movement annoys me. (This can be overlooked)
- Graphics at least as good as EQ1 ala 1999.
- I dont care if the player base roleplays or not. As long as they dont enforce it on me.
- PVP with real consequences would be nice but not 100% needed. (Think item loot from vallon zek)
Sigh the search continues...
